The prostate is an exocrine gland of the male reproductive system, and exists directly under the bladder, in front of the rectum. The prostate tumor starts in the gland cells-this is called adenocarcinoma. Prostate tumor is mostly very slow progressing disease. Other than that, many men die of old age, without knowing they had prostate tumor. It is only when an autopsy is done that doctor known it was there. Expert says that prostate tumor starts with tiny alteration in the shape and size of the prostate gland cells.
|What is Risk factor of Prostate Tumor?|
A risk factor is anything that affects chance of getting a disease such as tumor. Different tumor has different risk factor. Some risk factor, like smoking, can be changed. Others, like a person’s age or family history can’t be changed.
Usually men who have prostate tumor is men over the age of 65. It is very rare in men younger than 40.
Prostate tumor occurs more often in African-American men and Caribbean men of African ancestry than in men of other races.
Prostate tumor is most common in north America, Europe and Australia.

Prostate tumor seems to run in some families, which suggest that in some cases they may to be inherited ad genetic factor.
Having a father or brother with prostate cancer more than doubles a man’s risk of developing this disease.
Men who eat a lot of red meat or high fat dairy products appear to have a slightly higher chance of getting prostate tumor. These men also tend to eat fewer fruits and vegetables. Doctors are not sure which of these factors is responsible for raising the risk.
Most studies have not found that being (very overweight) is linked with a higher risk of getting prostate cancer overall. Some study studies that obese main may be at greater risk for having more advanced.
Most studies, some recent research has linked smoking to a possible small increase the risk factor of death from prostate tumor.
